8400e
The Matthews DOD 8400e is Matthews’ most powerful small and large character Drop On Demand (DOD) inkjet print controller. It’s perfect for in-line marking of one to five lines, at speeds up to 4.0 m/sec, printing large and small characters from a single control unit. Technological improvements see this coder achieving very uniform, high quality marks at fast speeds. It is available in either IP42 or IP54 protection ratings.
It features easy drop down menus and simple back-up and restore software capabilities.
Designed to optimally control the entire range of 8000 Series print-heads, the 8400e offers flexible and simple operation.
Recommended for both porous and non-porous substrates, the DOD 8400e provides high quality, reliable printing on many materials including plastics, metals, packaging, wood, building materials and galvanized steel, with dye or pigmented ink formulations.
Printheads
The newest lines of Matthews DOD printheads form two basic groups: "Standard Series" and "8000 Series".
Standard Series printheads produce a lower resolution mark that usually covers a larger surface area. A typical Standard Series mark might appear as shown to the right. 8000 Series printheads produce a higher resolution mark comprised of smaller dots, as shown on the right.
A large range of inks are also available to ensure perfect adherence, contrast and indelibility are available to you.
