Matthews SX32e
The Matthews SX32e DOD print controller is ideal for compliance or operational marking, product identification and traceability. It’s a powerful and flexible solution that suits all industrial environments, and can code on opposite sides of a carton with one controller.
The SX32e is a powerful print controller because the same work station can operate up to 4 print-heads simultaneously, with a maximum of 32 valves. Being able to print on two opposite sides from the one controller, it requires little space. Plus, the ability to adjust and control the print heights of each print-head 3.0mm to 128mm —and also adjust the print head dot size adds to its flexibility and versatility. The system also features a waterproof (IP42) plastic enclosure and easy-clean, fully integrated QWERTY keyboard.
Yet the SX32e is not only easy to install and start up, it is also very simple to use. The icon-based menu gives your plant operators a good overview of the different options. This, combined with a selection of four “hot keys” on the keyboard, minimises the risk of user errors. Password-protected user levels also minimise user-error risk.
The Matthews SX32e can be used with any 7, 16 or 32-valve print-head from Matthews’ standard or 8000 series print-head ranges. It controls up to four print-heads; print-head control is bi-directional, so double-sided printing is simultaneous.
Installing the system requires very little space. Several print-heads can be operated from the same work station, and mounting the control unit is flexible.
Printheads
The newest lines of Matthews DOD printheads form two basic groups: "Standard Series" and "8000 Series".
Standard Series printheads produce a lower resolution mark that usually covers a larger surface area. A typical Standard Series mark might appear as shown to the right. 8000 Series printheads produce a higher resolution mark comprised of smaller dots, as shown on the right.
A large range of inks are also available to ensure perfect adherence, contrast and indelibility are available to you.
