Founded in 1968, Flower Power has grown from a single Sydney store into one of Australia’s leading garden centre businesses, with 11 retail outlets and around 80% of its plant production completed onsite. As the business grew, its reliance on paper-based production batches, picking slips and manual labelling created inefficiencies across production and dispatch, with information needing to be manually captured and transferred into its ERP system.
Matthews worked with Flower Power to develop a customised solution incorporating coding & labelling systems, scanning technology and the iDSnet platform. By connecting production equipment with Flower Power’s ERP, the solution has automated manual processes, improved visibility and streamlined the flow of data from the potting shed through to dispatch. The results include significant efficiencies, with weekly stock-counting time reduced by more than 50%.
Today, Matthews is an integrated part of Flower Power’s operations, with the project developing into a strong, strategic partnership that continues to support the business as it grows.
