05 November 2025

Re election reflects continued commitment to strengthening Australian manufacturing

In the 2025 election, Matthews Australasia’s Sales Manager Matt Nichol was re elected to the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) Board.

Matthews is proud to celebrate Matt’s ongoing contribution to the broader manufacturing community. With a long-standing commitment to helping Australian manufacturers build capability, efficiency and resilience, his APPMA re election recognises both his leadership and his dedication to industry progress.

Matt said he was honoured to be re elected and appreciative of the support shown across the industry.

“I’m genuinely honoured to be re elected to the APPMA Board and grateful to everyone who took part in the process – from fellow candidates to the many members who continually support and champion our industry. It’s a privilege to represent such a dynamic and innovative sector alongside APPMA’s dedicated team and Board,” he said.

“Through my work with Matthews, I’ve seen first-hand how collaboration and technology can lift capability right across the industry. I’m excited to keep contributing to a stronger, more resilient Australian manufacturing future.”

Matthews congratulates Matt on his re election and looks forward to the positive impact his leadership will continue to have in strengthening Australian manufacturing through collaboration, innovation and industry growth.

The results were formally announced at the APPMA’s annual general meeting in October. APPMA CEO Michael Moran said the association was pleased with the strong level of member participation.

He told PKN Packaging News: “We thank all candidates for their commitment to shaping the future of our industry. The voluntary contribution made by APPMA directors is invaluable as we continue to promote and support members, strengthen the broader manufacturing sector and prepare for APPEX 2027.”
