Matthews Australasia has been named a finalist in Round 1 of the 2026 iAwards, with its iDSnet platform recognised in the Industrial Technology category.
Run by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), theiAwardsrecognise innovation across Australia’s digital ecosystem. The Industrial Technology category focuses on technologies that advance automation, industrial intelligence, engineering excellence, scalability and Industry 4.0 adoption.
Matthews’ CEO Mark Dingley said the finalist recognition was a proud acknowledgement of the local software, engineering and manufacturing knowledge behind iDSnet.

Through iDSnet Cloud, Matthews has also supported the manufacturing industry with more than one million compliant labels generated to date.
The finalist selection recognises iDSnet v5, the latest version of Matthews’ flagship product coding and compliance management platform.
Developed in-house, iDSnet v5 is built on a low-code/no-code architecture that allows manufacturers to configure production workflows using logic-based rules, without requiring specialist programming for every change.
The platform helps manufacturers reduce coding and labelling errors by connecting production data with the equipment that applies codes, labels and marks on the factory floor. It acts as a digital control layer between enterprise systems and production-line devices, including inkjet printers, laser coders, label applicators, scanners and inspection systems.
iDSnet v5 also captures operational data from connected devices, giving manufacturers clearer visibility of equipment status, coding accuracy and production performance.
This is increasingly important for manufacturers managing retailer requirements, traceability obligations, export-market expectations, product changeovers and the day-to-day pressure to keep production moving accurately and efficiently.
iDSnet is now used in more than 400 manufacturing sites across Australia and New Zealand, from major global brands including Coca-Cola and Unilever through to Australian businesses such as Remedy Drinks and Nature One Dairy. One example is Nature One Dairy’s implementation across multiple production lines to automate coding and labelling compliance, strengthen traceability and support anti-counterfeit capability for export markets.
The 2026 VIC iAwards Ceremony will be held on 15 July 2026, where winners and merit recipients will be announced.
