Matthews' Operations Update from the CEO

Matthews Operations Update

With the recent announcement of Stage 4 restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne and Stage 3 restrictions for regional Victoria, I would like to provide an update regarding Matthews’ operations.

As a supplier of goods and services necessary for the ongoing operation of many of Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing businesses, we are still permitted to operate at this time in support of these critical businesses within Victoria, as well as our valued customers nationally.

We take the health and wellbeing of our people, customers and the community seriously and we continue to focus on maintaining a safe working environment for all in line with the latest advice and ensuring plans are in place to support our and our customers’ business continuity.

At this stage, we are confident of our ability to maintain the supply of equipment and consumables to customers. We likewise remain confident of our ability to maintain support to customers in relation to servicing, as well as the installation and commissioning of equipment – through our technical presence in most states augmented by our range of initiatives around contactless service and support, and remote assisted installations.

Given the government may announce further measures or details regarding restrictions, we continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and will provide an update should our circumstances change.

Matthews thanks you in advance for your support in these challenging times – it is important we work together to continue to operate as best we can and mitigate the risks we face from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kind regards

Mark Dingley
CEO
