Next generation thermal inkjet printer

Print high quality codes onto a variety of packaging materials, with a Matthews’ thermal inkjet printer. Ideal for carton coding, timber marking, box coding and 2D codes, our thermal inkjet printers (TIJ Printers) will print exceptional quality, even at high line speeds.

With optimised drop control, thermal inkjet printers will code onto both porous and non-porous packaging for food, beverage, household products, and more. Some TIJ printers can be used for a range of challenges and industrial environments, including timber marking and grading, as well as carton and box coding.

A TIJ printer uses a cartridge containing an ink reservoir and a series of resistive elements. Each element is activated by an electrical current which, when applied, heats the ink in contact with the element. This forms an ink droplet, which is then ejected out of the faceplate nozzle precisely onto the substrate to form the desired image.
L25 Because the dwell time between firing is only 100 millionth of a second and with a throw distance of 1-2mm, TIJ printing technology is extremely fast and easy to use.
